Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Despite being long gone by the time of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Daruk's legacy lives on in many ways, including his signature weapon.

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the legacy of the four Champions met during Breath of the Wild lives on, both in the Sages that aid Link and in their weapons that can be found by completing sidequests.

One of those four Champions, Daruk of the Goron, wielded a two-handed weapon known as the Boulder Breaker. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can acquire a Boulder Breaker of their own by completing a side quest found in Goron City.

Players hoping to get hold of the Boulder Breaker will first need to complete "Yunobo of Goron City," the main quest that takes place in and around Goron City. Once this is done and the Marbled Rock Roast crisis is over, players will be able to speak with a blacksmith and their apprentice in Goron City to begin this quest.

Rohan the Blacksmith and his apprentice Fugo are discussing Fugo's ongoing apprenticeship, with Rohan understandably upset about Fugo ditching him during the Marbled Rock Roast incident (due to the influence of the aforementioned ruinous rocks), and Fugo wants to prove himself by completing the Boulder Breaker he was working on before the incident.

Unfortunately, Fugo blew the budget on Marbled Rock Roast and doesn't have the materials to finish the Boulder Breaker. He needs a Cobble Crusher, 5 Flint, and 3 Diamonds. Fortunately, these aren't too tricky to find scattered around Death Mountain and the general vicinity of Goron City.

Cobble Crushers can be found in chests all over Death Mountain, but there is also a respawning Boss Bokoblin that always drops one in the depths near Gorondia. To find it, head for Misisi Lightroot (Coordinates: 1842, 2842, -0838) and look south to spot it patrolling with its cohorts. Take it down to grab its Cobble Crusher.

Flint is the easiest of the components to find, being a common drop when smashing ore deposits throughout the world. Diamonds are a somewhat larger problem since they are a rare drop from ore deposits that have a golden glitter. They can be purchased in Goron City for 1000 Rupees each if the player has the funds, which is easier but very expensive.

Once all the components are collected, players just need to speak with Fugo to hand them over and get the Boulder Breaker in exchange.

After this, Fugo can forge a new Boulder Breaker whenever Link's breaks as long as Link can find the materials again. Players might instead consider using Octorocks to their advantage to repair the weapon when it runs low.

Of the Champion Weapons, the Boulder Breaker can be troublesome to use effectively since it chews through its durability at an astonishing pace. However, it can be a very effective mining tool and has identical stats to the Fierce Deity Sword.

This makes it one of the less practical Champion Weapons to wield, though it can still be effective when used with Fuse and the Octorock repair trick to circumvent its durability issues.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for Nintendo Switch.
